A Call for Action in Response to the Halifax Green Network Plan 2-Year Progress Report

On February 12, 2021 HRM’s two-year progress report for the Halifax Green Network Plan was publicly released in advance of being reviewed by HRM’s Community Planning & Economic Development Standing Committee.

With longstanding involvement in the Halifax Green Network Plan, Our HRM Alliance has been committed to monitoring the implementation of the plan. With the report detailing that only 3 out of 52 timeline-based action items have been fully completed, the Alliance mobilized to raise concerns and provide a list of opportunities that council and staff can act on to bring the Halifax Green Network closer to reality.
